Switching filter from salt to fresh help

I am about to purchase a used rena xp3 because my old xp3 broke. The person used it on their salt tank and I am going to be using it on my 210 along with 3 ac110s. Is there anything I need to do before plugging it into my tank other than a little rinsing?

I would change out the filter media but other than that and a rinse, should be good to go.

Yea empty it out and clean filter but just in cause have a hydrometer around.

I made the switch with a used eheim 3. I rinsed everything thoroughly with tap water, replaced all filter pads, rinsed the other media and reused them. Didn't have any problems with my fish at all. I did have an aquatop 500 running on the 100 gallon at the time and just added the eheim to let it build up new bacteria before moving it to use on a 60 gallon.
