Switching foods?

Hey i have a retic that is eating mainly bloodworms and earthworms but i just picked up some krill sence i heard of some ppl feeding this to retics. I was wondering wat i should do to get him to eat these. I have heard when trying to get them to eat pellets to dunk them in there previous food will this work for another meaty food?:confused: thanks
 
prolly will, also starv them a couple days with just feeding them the krill and taking out anything they dont eat.... they will eventually eat it...

that about somes it up... try throwing some in with the worms first they may just take right to it....
 
I am in the process now of converting a pearl ray to eat shrimp and pellets. He only ate blacworms and earthworms until two nights ago. What i do is take a bowl with the dethawed shrimp pieces already cut up and add a few cut up earth worms to the mix. Make sure all the juice,blood etc is mixed fairly well. Two nights ago he took shrimp for the first time. After repeating last night he stuffed himself with shrimp. Tonight I will try plain shrimp with no worm mixed. If he doesn't take it I will go back to the shrimp/worm coctail. You can also soak sinking pellets in the worm juice. Good luck:)
 
I tried mixing bloodworms and krill together and he picked out the blood worms :( im going to keep on trying though
 
Oh I hope it goes well for you..I have tried every method people suggest on here and my STUBBORN Bruce will still not take anything but red wigglers. Little brat wont even TRY earthworm...UGH
 
3rd night and still didnt touch it soaked it in bloodworms and everything. Wats matter?
 
starve the ray for a few days and ONLY offer the krill.... sometime they just dont take to new foods without being really hungry... ive starved for long periods to get fish/rays on foods i want them on to vary there diet etc... i think a week was the longest might have been 2 i dont remember exactly...
 
good advice cause my retics are doing the same but blackworms the motoro finally started eating silversides on her own. good luck
