I would like to switch from feeders to pellets, krill, or something else. I have tried floating pellets with no signs of any interest. I have tried freeze dried krill, but only one of three of my bass are eating them!? I put a few krill in with water so they fall in as if a fish was dropped in. they seem to hit the feeder literally when it touches the surface. what is the best way to switch off the feeders?
I have heard, if you freeze a few feeders they will slowly learn to eat non-moving food. I have also heard of fasting them for up to a week so when they are starved they will eat anything you drop in the tank. Are these options true?
Any advice would be helpful

Read the sticky about switching them off live food, very informative.

Yup, np mate. I suggest trying FD krill, my pbass go crazy for the stuff.:headbang2

Yep, That sticky works wonders.
But.......Patience is a virtue. ;]

Good news.... Just got home and hadn't fed them all day so as soon as i walked up to the tank they were all waiting in anticipation. I pulled out a few feeders and thought i would try the krill as a premature experiment. Sure enough the first thing that hit the surface was the krill and the P.Bass hit it and didn't spit it out!!! then dropped in a feeder, gone, then another krill... same result.... and so on.....
Maybe it was because they were hungry, but it seemed to work now. Ill try to keep it up and see if i can cut off the feeders entirely by weeks end...
