What would you add from this list?

Astronotus ocellatus

Cichlasoma portalegrense
Crenicichla semicincta

Hoplarchus psittacus
Hypselecara temporalis

'Aequidens' pulcher
5 Satanoperca jurupari

Id also add rivulatus theyre beautiful fish and sometimes you get lucky and get a mild mannered one I think your aquarium is a large enough footprint to spread out any aggression the festae will be too aggressive for the fish already mentioned in my opinion even with the large footprint, you might be able to get away with a single female festae good luck and please post pics when you get it all set up Id love to see the big L shaped tank

Thats a huge tank. Personally I think I would try all of them other then the Umbees. They might even work but an adult male umbee could kill a lot of those fish with little effort so I wouldn't risk it. I see no reason you couldn't add all of the other ones if you have a good amount of cover. Normal rules don't apply to tanks of that size.

is the fish tank done with already?

Yes, the tank has been up and running for quite some time now. It's got a lot of hybrids and/or suspected hybrids in it. Most of the fish are central american cichlids with the exception of a few tilapia...

The plan is to completely empty the tank of it's current inhabitants first, do some maint. on the ceiling and add some new lighting. Then stock it with the SA cichllids. I've got 30 other tanks set up of all different sizes and another 25-30 that can be set up if need be. THis is going to take some time...
