@ what size should I start switching to brackish for my Leopard puffer? He is under an inch as of now.

You could probably start adding a bit of aquarium salt once he hits 1.5-2 inches and add a bit more every month or every couple of months as he grows until you reach your target salt concentration. Do you plan on acclimating him to full marine? Or keeping him in brackish water?

I am hoping brackish will be good enough. It's my daughter's tank 29 gallon. Is brackish easy to maintain? I have 0 experience with puffers, but he is full of personality.

I've been interested in puffers for a little while but don't actually have one. As far as maintenance, I wouldn't necessarily say it's any more or less work. Just keep the salinity in check and you're set.

one quick thing, use marine salt and not aquarium salt. You can start adding salt when they are young. You will want a hydrometer, the 29 will work fine don't change the salinity by more than .002 a week

sure no problem, if you have any other questions feel free to post here again. Otherwise if you got other puffer related questions google green spotted puffer forum and they can help you out.
