Hi I have a Hericthys Carpintis with swollen lips. He is acting fine I noticed this yesterday. They don't seen to be getting any worse or better. All fish in the tank have been in it for about 1.5 years. I added my large Jag 2 days ago because of tank problems but he is now gone. I am almost sure there was no lip locks from size difference. Any ideas & could it be contagious? I will try to get some pics up soon.

I did some research and I guess it could be duck lips. Not sure and how could of it of happened? All I can find for treatment is low temp & salt. Very vague on treatment almost like its certain death. Any advice would be appreciated.
Tonight he can hardly move his mouth, still swims fine does not eat. Moved him to a hospital tank dosed with salt & dip away.
