Sword plant

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It is probably an amazon sword. Post a pic to be sure. As far as care goes, that will depend on the specific species of sword you have.

You are assuming that she doesn't have a planted setup. Most swords are very undemanding. Many ozelot, amazon, radican, rubin, and melon swords can survive in very simple setups.

I have a planted tank, all plants grow like CRAZY !!! however swords don't do well at all ( I have an echinodorus grandiflorus and I would love it to get to the size that it's supposed to get but it simply doesnt do well ...

I will post some pictures later on.

Many plants feed through their leaves, however swords are primarily root feeders, and as such need nutrients supplemented in a different way. Root tabs will make your swords grow extremely fast.

Same here. Plecos kinda have that effect on a tank. :D

Yea definately. Although to be fair, pretty good at pumping up water nitrates too.
