Swordspine snook and fw tarpons?

Are these two the same species as the sw ones? seen two vendors that have them i really like snooks and tarpons but never heard of the fw ones.

I believe they are. I have a 20" snook in full fresh with my pbass.

It eats anything you throw in. Got it from Wes at 4". On pellets the first day.

I been keeping my Indo Pacific Tarpon in full fresh since it was 5". Its now around 20" eats like a big!

For the tarpons, yes they are. With both the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific tarpons, they tend to live in freshwater as juveniles and feed primarily on fw crustaceans. This is why FD kill makes it so easy to get them off of live. As they get bigger quite a few move to sw but even in the wild, fully fw specimens are common.

I can't comment for snooks as I know nothing about them.
