swordspine snook info

hey, just saw a couple post on here about them and they look really cool. Would make a really cool species tank or something, does anyone have an experience or info on them? and what do they prefer freshwater or brakish?

as far as i know, i think thery prefer freshwater and only top out at about 12"s.....

i was gonna snatch up a few but waited too long......

they suck up silversides like crazy. don't swim much but not aggressive at all

There's a great article by Brian Scott in February's TFH Magazine on the swordspine snook, Centropomus ensiferus. Fishbase lists them as being FW, brackish, and marine, but the TFH article reports that they actually do best in pure FW. Here's the fishbase profile:
