i just bout a lace cat it is about half an inc long and realy thin and dosnt eat as much as my other one did when it was this size im gona try some brine shrim tonight but i still want some advice on what to do if that dont work and before u ask water peramiters are amo 0 ppm ph 7.2 nitrate o nitrite 0.1ppm thank you in advance

I never had a problem getting mine to eat. Just be sure and feed different types of food. I started out with NLS community fish formula and also used HBH Supersoft sinking pellets. He also ate algae wafers and flake that sank to the bottom. Now that he is larger, he willingly comes to the surface to find food.

Also, if you are reading Nitrates as 0, then your tank is not fully cycled. That could be a cause for lack of appetite. Keep up on the water changes and feed a variety of foods. IME these guys are pretty hardy once they reach about 4 inches. Good luck.
