I got some Petricolas (lucipinnis now?) off of Aquabid in June of 2007. I put them in a breeder box in my main 125g and they grew a little bit, but not much. I got them at about 3/4" and now they're only about 1-1.5". I'm feeding them NLS Grow formula (only thing small enough for them).
How long will it be before they get any bigger?
Also, one day apparently the breeder sagged a little into the water and they got into the main tank. My 6" Giraffe Hap decided to "nibble" on one and wound up going into convulsions for a few minutes after he spit out the Syno. He's fine now, but doesn't mess with them. Would it be ok to leave them in the main tank? They have plenty of hiding places that the rest of the Cichlids can't go. The Hap is the biggest one I have with most averaging 3" or less. The whole time they were in there the cichlids really didn't pay them any attention.
