hey guys, girls. i really need an answer fast, as my jewel cichlids are about to spawn. i need to know whether or not my feather-fin synodontis catfish will eat the jewel's eggs during the night or not. please respond soon!

Yes, it is extremely likely that they will. I knew someone who kept a few syno. petricolas in her African tank, and she never got any fry because the synos would go to all of the caves or shells and suck out the eggs once they'd been laid.
I remember how one kind of syno, not featherfin I think the cuckoo syno, steals african cichlid eggs, lay their eggs, then cichlids take care of the catfish eggs.
