My LFS has one of these guys at around a foot long for $120... Good deal? Lol probably not because they're always outrageously overpriced but this is the only one I've ever seen anywhere and he is really kool looking. I'd like to know if they grow any bigger and how active they are. I want to know if it will get along with my common pleco because my pleco ate up my bullhead and killed it. The bullhead was lazy and just let the pleco do it. I don't want to spend so much on a fish and end up having it get killed...

I bought 2 for $39.00 each in San Diego around 4". I've seen one that was a foot long for $100.00. I have not seen them since in the LFS but I have seen them on wholesale list a lot.

A decorus at that size isn't very common. I don't think that price is to outrageous so it all depends on how badly you want the fish. They are fairly active fish but it's hard to say if your pleco will kill it or not. Your pretty much looking at full size on that catfish. I hope you have a nice big tank for the cat because they do like to swim around.

Hmm.. would a 75g be enough? They had it in a 40g and it's been in there for a very long time

I say dump the pleco and get the catfish...;). If you are at all worried about the pleco killing it...I wouldn't risk it with both, unless you aren't worried about the money. Maybe try and barter, if the fish has been there for so long. Heck, ask if they will take $75 and the pleco in trade haha.

I would say it's better than the 40 it's in now but ideally you would want at least 18" wide tank for it. Remember being that big, it's bio load is going to be huge.

The 75 is 18in wide :) Everyone keeps telling me to get rid of my pleco lol I like it though and want to keep it. I think that fish would be easier on my tank then the three goldfish in there. They make such a mess! I am looking for a bigger tank for native fishes and my pleco would go in there with them. The catfish would have the tank all to itself
