sucks pretty bad, only lost one so far about 6" but the rest aren't looking so good.I was assured by quite a few it would be fine with my loaches but it turned out to to be the most aggressive fish Ive ever owned....

I put it in and its kinda nippy but I figure its just trying to clear out one of the caves for itself,no biggy as there are many.I get incredibly sick, wind up in the hospital for a couple days, and when I come back my loaches are horribly beat up(and were still getting beat up),chunks of fins missing, and ich all over.I immediately got rid of the featherfin and added aquarium salt but lost one of my biggest loaches.:(

He was trying to fight with my 12" bgk as well but bit off more than he could chew in that one.

The rest look slightly better than they did(though still not good),I hope they'll be fine in a group of four for awhile.

So IME Featherfins and Loaches are NOT okay together.

I have one with my loaches right now and it's been there for about a month now. I do notice it chasing the loaches away from the driftwood it hides in, but other than that I haven't had a problem. I think I have about 20 loaches in there so that probably helps.

You said your loaches have ich, how long have you had your loaches?

I had a eup. in with my loaches for quite a long time and never had any issues. Also, have 2 syno. decorus in with my loaches now and they seem to be doing fine. But, like is300, I have a large group of loaches.

I used to have my Eup. in with my cl pack but he was a little agressive and territorial. I moved him in with my bichirs and dats so my cls can live in peace and quiet.

I had mine with bichirs a while back but had to take it out cause it was sucking the slime coat off of the bichir and was actually removing scales.

Wow! I mixed my lone Synodontis eupterus with my loaches before but isolated him for fear that my third batch of yoyo loaches (at 2-inch size) were not getting their fair share of foods.

Thanks for the heads up....
I have a Syno. Eurp. in my main tank that my CLs will share once out of GO, maybe not now....

I never had a problem with the combo. I keep a 8" Syno Eup with 2 clowns at 2.5-3"
