Can someone please help with me find info on my synodontis eupterus, it's fine just want some more info like food or it's habits(aggression). Also a synodontis soloni that seems interesting and I'll like some info. Thanks Monster Fish Keepers Community:headbang2

I've kept both. The latter reaches 15, maybe up to 17 cm, and the former hits a larger 20, tops (often smaller). Both are fine for a semi-aggresive community tank, and are sub-riverine synodontis that prefer, but don't require, minimal current and cooler water, around the mid seventies.

Still Need help.

What kind of food do they prefer, do they become overly aggressive, can they live with African Cichlid and if so what kind( shell, substrate, cave, Malawi, or Tanganki) I go from site to site telling me different things.:nilly: :nilly: :nilly:

Synodontis are notorious for eating anything that will fit into their mouths, including tankmates, so food is not a problem; whatever you have onhand is probably suitable.

When the word "African cichid" is flung around, I am assuming that you're referring to tang/malawian/victy cichlids, which should not be kept alongside the mentioned species simply because their water requirements are so drastically different. As far as other riverine cichlids go (stenos, pelvichromis, hemis...etc), there are few cichlids too aggressive for these catfish. I have not had a problem raising some of the more aggressive ones (tilapia sp, specifically) alongside eups and angelicus synos.
