Curious to know who here has the absolute biggest Synodontis Eupterus. I personally think mine has to be somewhere up there as she's pushing 9.5 inches.
I'll pull her from the tank to get a good pic for you tomorrow. Not me, mine is somewhere around 6 inches. Care to share pics of your lovely lady?

Physically impossible as it is constantly behind the rocksMine two are 8" and 10" eyeballing.
In general they don't exceed 8"-10" total length, even after 20-30+ years: https://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=30928&hilit=eupterus+lifespan
If at all possible, consider how you could photograph it in the tank, in water, even if you have to use a net to bring it in to the front glass.
IMHO, taking a fish out of its tank just to take a photo is a bit cruel. Even though, synos are tough and hardy and will handle it no problem. Still, a huge surge of stress for them.
Now just what are you talking about?Physically impossible as it is constantly behind the rocks
That's why I proposed what I proposed. In order to take it out of the tank, you will need to net the fish. Once in the net, you can opt to leave it in the water, keep in the net pressed against the glass, and photograph through the glass.Physically impossible as it is constantly behind the rocks
