Does anyone else on here have one of these other than me, if so i would love a pic, never see these guys anywhere.

you are the only one. Ive been searching for a true longirostris for over a year now, and ive gotten to the point where im pretty sure they are mythical. id love to see a pic of yours.
I'd like to see a pic of this fish also, as i know fish were being sold as them over there as this sp, but they was not S longirostris 
The myth continues. I hate to break the news to you, but you have been scammed. That is not a synodontis longisostris. The snout is not nearly long enough, nor does it have any of the other distinguishing features. Most likely you got this guy from petsmart, and he is some sort of hybrid. Most likely between S euptera and S ocellifer.

that's one of the main reasons i was wanting more pics, wasn't sure that's what he was anyway, didn't really get ripped off, just kept him because i like the way he looks, there was a 55gal tank left behind by some renters down the street, the tank was put out by the road where i saw it and somehow, he was still alive, but there were some oscars that weren't so lucky.
I have seen this fish labled syn. longirostrus at the chain stores also. They call it a jaguar catfish also. i
That cat is definately a hybrid. The real thing is very rare and elongated. Checfk it out on planetcatfish.
