Synodontis Noob

I have ten synodontis multipunctatus that I purchased as fry a year ago to clean a tank that I was raising Africans in. They are now pushing five inches and I'm sorely tempted to start breeding them.

Can anyone find it in their heart to coach a noob on how to increase their numbers?
