have you guys have had any experience with occelifers trying to suck the slime of other tankmates? they act more like plecos when i observe mine with my bichirs. is this their normal behaviour?

I have no idea if they are actually eating debris on the side of the fish or if they are actually removing slime coat. I've never seen any damage from it.

obviously, but if he doesnt find any visual signs of damage or change in behavior then the catfish is simply territorial and not removing the slim coat, just keep a close eye on all your fish over the next few day..lateraldisposition;3794564; said:having a slime coat protects them from contracting illnesses
