My synspillum has decided to change his colors and just wanted to confirm its normal. He's around 3 years old, pushing 12" and acting normal. The dark area towards the rear first came out about a week ago and up until then he looked normal.
I had this happen to my syn and coatz. I didnt know why it happened either but it slowly went away. I remember reading if fish hit the glass hard they can get that black coloring like that cause of some nerve damage. Dont know if its related with yours.
