Just a quick update. But during the update the syns started to do what looked like a courting dance.. They're coloring up nice. Eating like champs. And looks like beginning to pair.. Also choco looked like he was shaking his tail feathers at the largest syn.. Imagine that cross.. Although they both look like males to me..

For real? 5 seven inch (or less) fish in a 125 gal (6 ft tank) is over crowded? The choco plays with the syns all day. Get off your high horse. These fish have lots of room to swim and grow. I can't stand the POS ne'er Sayers on this site.

You are pretty crowded. I would give that tank to a pair of syns and move the rest! Your plecos will eat any eggs that are layed so I would move them too. JMO you seem to favor the syns from the audio on your video that's why if I were you give tank to a pair of syns. You can probably trade in the rest of your fish for store credit and get a light for your tank again just my opinion.

Your nitrates test should tell you if you are really overcrowded. If you do a waterchange everytime your nitrates are 20 ppm then you can see if you have to many fish. If you are having to change your water over two times a week you are overcrowded my friend!

My parameters are perfect. In all 40+ of my tanks. WC's are once a week.
Tank eats twice a day. Been raising and breeding fish for 16 years. Not a novice

Its your world do what you want I'm just giving my opinion! If you get offended when someone comments on what you are doing then maybe keep your world private otherwise develop thicker skin because I'm just trying to help your fish live for more than 10 years!

The fish look great. I think they mean aggression wise. I think you might end up with a pair, which might take over a 125g easily. Especially since syns get big. The chocolate might have a difficult time, but looked fine in that video IMO. The firemouths were funny trying to chase off the syns, but the syns didn't even notice lol. I don't see why you would have any problems now though..
