My male Synspilum and Red Texas/ZZ have just had a spawn. I think this could produce some really interesting looking offspring especially considering that the Synspilum is believed to be one of the cichlids used to create the original Flowerhorns. The Male Synspilum is about 5 inches and the Female Red Texas/ZZ is about 4 inches. The female's red is basically gone right now due to her breeding colors but the male is looking really good especially for his size. I cant wait to see him as he ages into his mature color. I may be selling some of these guys in a few weeks if anyone is interested in what should be a beautiful fish. Here are some pics that don't do their colors any justice.

Wow, they are gorgeous, good luck. I don't think you will have a hard time selling them. I would buy one if I had enough tank space for sure.
