So I just got a T. Miuris, and it developed ich. I haven't has a problem with ick in 25 years. I just keep my fish healthy. The t. Miuris is in a 55 gallon tank, sand substrate, right now I'm getting plants for it, just has some rocks for habitat enrichment. Water is 78 degrees, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate >10 ppm, I didn't test Ph, but the water from my well is 7.2, So it can't be far from that. I used a spare filter that I had running on one of my 75's that I keep on there to swap to a new tank if I have to set one up. It's possible that the ick came in there, but I think it is much more likely that the poor little stressed out puffer contracted it at the LFS. That doesn't really matter though, it has ick and I need to treat it. I also need to deworm him (his name is lurch). I'm not a fan of using salt too much, never actually had to use it. Question is, can I treat both the ick and the worms at the same time? I read that salt can kill the worms somewhere, but I don't really feel confident that salt will do the job. I surely don't mind treating both at the same time, or using two different meds either.
I found this at tractor supply:
Will that work for Lurch for deworming? How do you dose something like that?
Thanks for the help MFKers!
