I would just stagger 2 4ft shop lights from Home depot and be done with it:)

Well really, T5 HO lights are just brighter in the smaller space.

that's what i got in there at the moment , i also have an orbit from Current on my 55gl tank ,i got to tell you it looks nice while my 210g tank looks like crap with those regular daylight lamps

my question is for a 29" high tank the compacts from orbit are enough or the t5 HO will give more light ?

1 big 72 inches orbit with 4 CF bulbs or 2 LGO t5 HO 36"x2

Im running 2 48 inch t5ho nova extremes and 2 30 inch t5 ho nova extremes on my 84 x 24 x 30 and it lights up my tanks really good. Im going to change out the plant bulbs and use 10000 k.

I think you just need to switch out the bulbs in your shoplight.
I have two dual tube 48" Home Depot shop lights on my 300 gallon.
The tank size is 96x24x30 tall.
I have 4 Aqua-Glow 40 watt T-10 18,000K bulbs.
