I bought this light fixture a few weeks ago... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300375996496&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1928wt_939
the fixture has two 48" odyssea T5HO 6700k bulbs that produce 108 watts. It is set up for a 55 gallon lowlight planted tank, and the light looks especially blue/greenish in comparison to my previous bulbs which were Hagen "aqua-glo" T8 bulbs. The previous bulbs produced a lot more red color and the color spectrum graph on the package verifies that the bandwidth is high in reds and blues. Does anyone know if these t5HO 6700k daylight bulbs are strong in reds and blues? good for planted tank?
I have read before that 6700k is good for plants but nobody has seen the color specturm chart for these bulbs and I'm just confused about the big visual difference between my old and new light.
