T5HO ballast not working?

Im just curious to see if anyone here can maybe help troubleshoot why the dual T5HO ballast may have stopped working?

I tried changing the fuse to the plug, as well as tried wiping down the connection points to the T5 tube incase maybe some water got in but it seemed dry...

I checked the bulbs on the other ballast in the tank and they work fine, so i can only guess its to do with the ballast? So any ideas what i can maybe do to try and fix the problem?

^ i know that, but thats exactly what im trying to avoid unless i have bo pther optionss, as i would have to get it sent from overseas since the distributors in this town are absolutely hopeless...

You should have a supply house for electrical contractors where you can get one unless you have to get the one from the fixtures manufacturer so that it fits in the housing.

Pretty sure i need the manufactures one since it fits in its own housing which is part of the hood unit...

But i have already e-mailed them so hopefully they can tell me whether or not there are alternative ballasts i can maybe use even though im guessing thats an extremely remote chance...

Is there a starter relay switch that may have gone bad?
On some lights they are white, some grey, they are round, about the size on a coin, and screw in and out. Sometime in the middle for single bulb fixtures, 2 in double bulb fixtures.
At hardware stores they are cheap, LFSs not so.

Ballast do have a life span and eventually will fail. There should be several options in ballast to fit your lamp type, lamp wattage and lamp configuration needs.

thanks for the tips so far everyone...

I'm going to try an remove the ballast from the hood tmr and see if there is a relay switch or anything that might have gone bad?

The brand is Ferplast, not a brand many people use, so if after removing it doesnt work, im going to have to search to see if i can find a new one somehow from overseas maybe...
