So I will be getting my T5 retrofit kit in a day or so. I will post pics showing the lighting difference between them and my current T12 set up.

Current set up is 4 t12's
1x 20k 40 watt
1x 50/50 40 watt
2x atinic

New set up will be

2x 12k 54 watt T5's
2x atinic

As promised before and after photos. Now I used the manual setting on my camera with the shutter speed the same and so on. First picture is my old set up. 4 T12's.
50/50
20k
atinic

Second, third and fourth pictures are with my new t5's which replaced the 50/50 and 20k T12's.

I love them. Makes the tank just pop. Plus I am sure my corals will appreciate it more than me. I would highly recommend this kit for anyone looking to do a retrofit set up using T5's. Unfortunately there is less of a blue color because these almost drown out my atinics, but I really like the color temp. The 12k's are perfect and I will use them going forward. Now I just need to eventually get the atinics to T5's as well so they shine through stronger. But for now they will be fine. Thanks for the recommendation on the bulbs as well Mr Reef.

The pics I posted are meant to represent how much more light is produced by the t5's. I would actually have to shoot my tank with a much slower shutter speed to avoid the lights whiting out the pic so much. It is just amazing.

Even though you may not see the blue as much your corals will get the spectrum and that's the important part. I love the retrofit it fit's perfect on your setup and I'm glad your happy with the bulb's I recommended.
