I posted this in general and have gotten no responses in 24hrs so I am going to thread one here too in hopes someone can answer it.
I purchased an Aqueon strip light for my 15g tank that I am converting to planted. It came with an 8000k T8 bulb. I bought a "Flora Max" bulb by GLO today at petsmart. I noticed it was 2800K. I must say I may be a little confused. I was under the impression that plant grow lights should be 6500K. Why is this one 2800K? Should I return it?
I bought a few plants today which are "peace lilly's" and another plant that wasn't marked. They are in Caribsea's Floramax substrate. Just in case different plants need different light temps.
