My gf keeps some goldfish in a water trough outside that has recently been the scene of a toad orgy. Mucho tadpoles. How would these be as food for my Africans? I have Malawi haps, a front and a few mbuna.

Nope...Mbunas are veggys not Carnivorous.

Well, mine are labs which will enjoy the occasional meat entree....

Absolutley NOT! Your first concern should be about disease.

Just feed them NLS.

Labs enjoy insects and the like...not 'meat'

You should be fine.

All fish are opportunists by nature. You think if a tadpole swam by a mbuna in the wild it would say "Nah, i'm a vegetarian."?

Don't make it a huge part of their diet, but as a treat every so often, go ahead.
