Got about 20 dozen little tadpoles out of a water hole this evening. The little temensis love them.. Are tadpoles alright to feed to your pbass? I also have them in a bucket of water, will there need to be any filtration or a bubble stone or anything?

Didnt want them to die because I still have a bunch left, I might go try to clean some more out of there tommorow. There are TONS of them...

Thanks

I think your biggest concern with feeding the wild tadpoles is the possibility of introducing parasites. Aside from that, tadpoles are very fatty and will likely really pack the weight on your tems. And without filtration, make sure you do daily water changes on that bucket.

They shouldn't need an air stone, they have lungs already and can breath directly from the surface if I'm not mistaken, at least the bullfrog tad poles I've fed my largemouth in the past could... ~Trent

Are they the little black ones or larger green shades that turn into bullfrogs?

They are very small, so its hard to tell if they are a green or black color. Im guessing they are fine because they have been chowing down on them for over 24 hours...

might be toad tadpoles which could be bad
