Tail accident

I was feeding my rays a load of mussle and cockle and bloodworms, and i notied by accident one of my ras bit another tails after it realised it stopped and moved on, and i can see the end is a little damged, ive done a waterchange and added salt. Will it heal and gorw back? Thanks.

One of my small retics had some kind of injury at her tail tip and after some time she lose it, it healed well in no time but it didnt grow back.

when i had rays salt made mthem sick so i never use it a agin for rays.

it will heal just fine.... if it bit a chunk off that wont grow back....

Yep, tails don't grow back. Tail biting is not uncommon. For me one of the reasons not to put rays with very big size difference in one tank.

They are all roughly the same size, its a bit of a chuk maybe an inch, but if it heals that should be ok right?

im sure it will heal fast, just keep an eye on it to make sure no infection or something else happens from the bite
