to make a long story short.. one of my tanks heater broke.. lost one fish.. but luckily saved the other 2 .. but i had to put them in my other tank until i got a new heater.. and the smaller one got his tail bitten off by one of the memebers in the new tank.. Any suggestions on how to heal him!? .. thanks

I'd keep up with tons of water changes, add some salt in there, and hope it heals without getting infection

i agree with what CA told you-add aquarium salt, and keep your water pristine! you need to really keep up the waterchanges so he doesnt get a secondary bacterial or fungal infection....

One of my fish got her tail bitten off recently. I have had her in a 5 gallon hospital tank doing 75% water changes daily with a bit of salt. I started using some melafix as well since it started looking a little fuzzy. She was on the brink of death and now swims around like she still has a tail.
Good luck!

hey thanks for the replies.. ya i just put him in a 29 gal tank alone with a ac110 running.. i also will continue doing daily water changes. i have yet to add anything to the water im going to head to the fish store now to look for your suggestions.. Thanks!
