Tail fin issue,,,,

Okay, my Carpintis tail fin was shredded by my Red Devil, I separated the two with an egg crate divider, performing weekly water changes & adding aquarium salt to the tank, I'm hoping his tail fin will grow back water quality is pristine, not too fond of adding chemicals to the tank am I doing the right thing, is the tail fin going to grow back or not?

That looks real bad. I would at a minimum be doing methylene blue baths with salt for 30 minutes a day (1ml per gallon) to serve as mild antiseptic as well as providing more oxygen into the blood for healing purposes. About 1 week should do it.

that does look bad. I second the mb baths but I would add sulfa or oxytet to the tank
