My frys started to die groups at a time...but strange is only the heads are at the bottom. I put them in a breeder net type enclosure. They are all healthy and eating. Wierd how some of the heads are faced inward---Like the tails got stuck in the netting holes, but wheres the tails? Do you think frys are cannibalizing on each others' tails?

what type of fish are they?

If they are FH's, its not surprising. My FH fry started killing each other by first, biting/chasing the "chosen one" to the brink of death, then finishing it off by eating the eyes. Then they would take turns killing a new target. But thats normal, fry do cannibalize on each other if possible lol.

um... You put them in a net breeder? I did the same thing one time with Blue Acara fry (I thought it was safe) and they kept disappearing until I only had a couple left. I found the clown loaches would suck them right thru the net breeder like spaghetti lol

This is the one i used

Might be the reason you're finding them like that.

OMG, dude thats the one I use...Yeah perhaps I have a 1" Red Tiger Mota free swimming in the tank. But no way he can kill 300 frys in a week, besides no all the frys are on the net, most of them swim in the middle.

could be missing tails due to inbreeding?
Okay lemme clarify, tails not missing, but taken from. Will inbreeding cause a tail to disappear? Hmm, honestly IDK either.

Your 1" mota outside the net breeder is probably eating or killing them through the mesh. It's happened to me on several occasions. Adult fish will do the same.

The fry do not stay in the middle of the net breeder all day. They will rest on the bottom when you turn the lights out, or when they're sleeping. Also remember, there's not much to a fish fry -- it's just some eyes and a very fragile little body. Ever accidentally got a little fry caught in a net? Just touching it with your hands can turn it to mush. So even if the 1" mota isn't eating them, just the force created by the mouthing/sucking at the net could kill the JD fry.

A few months ago I tried mixing some severum fry with Geo fry. Although they were roughly the same size, the severum fry attacked and killed all my Geo fry, then ate out their eyes and bellies. Guess I won't try that again!
