tail rot???

is this tail rot? melafix best cure?

I just moved this fish from a 55 gallon tank to a 135 gallon. could the stress of caused this?

melafix and pimafix preventative, not cures. I would suggest pristine water for the next week. dose with both for a full coarse, again they not cure. see if the fish can fight off himself. they well help from getting secondary infection.

so it seems this was damage caused by a Asian RTC.

I have used Melafix for years to treat fin rot and other infected cuts or abrasions with great success.

I would add salt and Melafix. It should heal up pretty fast.
