Tail trimming.

Are you wanting to get rid of that small split at the top of his tail. This would be interesting to know my flowerhorn has the same split but at the bottom of his tale

Have you really. I was thinking the same mine has just grown that way so don't think the gap will fill.
I know you can trim fish's tails but I don't know if in this case it would grow back the same with it not been damage.
Honestly I’d be worried that it may get more messed up after being trimmed, especially with the worse immune system and healing abilities that flowerhorns have.
Yeah I agree with this I'm not sure I would be comfortable trimming the tail of any fish to be honest unless it was absolutely necessary.
