Tailless Tokay

well my Tokay made a dash at it and while being caught by my "experienced" hand, let go of its tail..

now if a lizard so easily parts with its tail it usually means it will expediently grow back.

is this so with Geckos?

Yes, they will grow the tail back. Tokays, more willing to let go of their tail than your finger...
