Hi everyone,

I am in Taipei, Taiwan for 10 days and the second day (Sunday) after I landed I made a beeline to MingQuan East Road section 5 ("Water Road"). The whole street consists of tropical and saltwater stores, but I only took vids of the stores with Arowana's in them. Quite a few salt water stores but I did not record them. I started from the first store closest to the bridge and headed West. Not as many stores as I was hoping for but I found a couple of real gems.:grinno::grinno::grinno:
This is the first time that I'm posting HD vids so please bear with me. My Sony CX-HD cam has some funky format so I have to convert the files into MPEG. Anyways each post will be of 1 store and there may be a couple of fragmented videos for each thread. I tried my best to get some translation from my fiance and I also tried to record the name and prices of the fishes. I will try to make another trip back hopefully during a weekday since some of the shops were closed.
Anyways enjoy!!

Video 1 = This was the first store that I found arro's in. I also almost died while filming at around 5:20 in the vid. Scary stuff.

The rough currency conversion from Taiwan NT dollar to American Dollars is as follows: NT / 30. So whatever prices you see just divide by 30 and that is roughly the American dollar equivalent

what made u fall?

I totally didn't even see the damn hole because it was partially covered by a wood slab and also because I was so excited to see so many arro's. stupid me but I probably would've died if I fell straight back instead of to the side.

I was drooling for hours :drool::drool::drool:!! I'm actually itching to go back there but my schedule is tight. Trying to post the rest of the vids but the internet connection at my hotel is so sloooooow

lucky

I'm pretty sure you can barter with the pricing too. The first store was nice but wait until my next thread vids gets uploaded...its gonna be sick

This store owner said that he can transport asian arrowana to US for NT$20,000 with some sort of government certificate. I said i'll get back to him
