i have a regular 20 gal tank with a little HOB filter, and heater. I kinda want a planted tank, but just not too much. is ther any suggestions for a this tank without having to have CO2, special substrates, and lighting?

In addition to the Anubias, some java moss and java fern also attached to wood would look great and they have no special requirements. You could do a flooded forest look, with lots of wood, and plants growing off all the wood.
