what do i feed them the one i saw was maby 1 inch long and it was adorable so i had to resist buying it which was hard. this store is a catch it your self then bring it to the counter to pay. the nets they have are the ones you see at petco. so will this little battery shock you or not. and can they be kept alone.

Lovely fish, eat pretty much anything like mad and grow quick. Some species reach upto 3' as well

Make them catch it for you. mine shocked me when he was 2" long and left me with a slightly numb arm for an evening.

u can feed them with blood worm till they can eat small fishes....:)
i use to keep one.. and i kept it alone in a 2ft tank.. mine left me at the size of 8"

It is possible to get them onto pellet food easily as well. Mine started on bloodworm, then moved onto JBL catfish pellets, TA red astax crumb and hikari sinking gold.
 
Well, if you would like to know how big they can get (and ugly) here you go. This is Abe Froeman, the Sausage King of Chicago III.
I feed him chopped market shrimp, nightcrawlers and these pellets.

That's not ugly, that's gorgeous.
