Hey,

I was just wondering how to test the water in a fish :aquarium

and whats water pH mean?

\I was searching through my local pet store, and theres so much stuff for fish/

-Thanks

:iagree: ammonia, nitrites and nitrates are more important hen you are starting off since the first of those will kill fish quickly

Get a full kit that tests for Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, PH etc. PH measures the acidity or alkalinity in the water.

PH measures the Acidity or Basicity. Alkalinity is the measure of the ability to neutralize acids.

Some materials change PH and Alkalinity, others only change PH, etc.

I may be wrong when it comes to usage in aquariums so feel free to correct me.
