Hi, could anyone give me ideas on how to take clearer photos of my aquarium? I have tried using my wifes cannon rebel xs100d, Ill get her to give me all the details later on what exactly it is and what type lenses she has and all that stuff but All the pics I take end up looking dark, unclear, or antique looking and all the pics i see on here the fish are very clear and beautiful! is there a setting I am missing? or what settings should I have my camera on? Sorry for so many questions and being camera ignorant :screwy: any advise would be greatly appreciated! and sorry If I didnt post this in the correct place but nothing really fit :(

you have to take the flash off put the movement scene on and magnify it thats what i do you just have to sit down and fool with your camera a little bit.

For shooting with a regular point-n-shoot and no fancy wireless flashes, here's what I suggest for the best photo:

- Add lots of extra lights over the tank (just temporary for pics). It's difficult to have too much light for aquarium photography. Without lots of light, the pictures will be poor.
- Turn down the ISO (if you can).

If you don't have a lot of light, you can crank up the ISO, but don't expect great results.

Turn off all the lights in the room exept for the tank light, and if tank is in a room with windows wait till it's dark out.

Don't feel bad...
I've been keeping for about the same time, and still feel like I don't know crap sometimes... and I recently found out about the magnets too.. lol

Good luck to you!!
