Hello, I wonder if you can give me some advice on my Talapia. She has these fantasy births, well not fantasy i have caught her laying her eggs. The problem is my whole take gets worked up because they want to eat the eggs as soon as they emerge. I do not have a male. I feel i need to get ride of her for the best of the tank.

I don't know if that's such a bad thing - eggs are an amazing source of protien and your other fish may well be benefiting from it. I don't see exactly what problem its causing though...

So you dont see a problem with 6 to 8 fish having a feeding frenzy under her. Howz the waves in Durbs m8.

Don't surf myself, but my friends say that the waves haven't been amazing recently, and the water's a bit chilly now its winter anyway.

If you're concerned for the Tilapia's wellbeing, rather move her out then. Or better yet, get her to someone who wants to breed. I'm sure someone will be happy to take on such a keen female.

Yip she has dropped 4 times in 6wks or so. I have advertized for a male and visa versa but had not takers.

I don't think you should concern yourself with a male.
Being familiar with Oreochromis sp. such as yours I can tell you it's better for the fish to eat the eggs before she can pick them up and attempt to brood them for a few days or having a male fertilize them and then having her hold them for a full-term 3 weeks give or take a few days depending on the sitiation and stress level of the holding female. This way she is not missing meals and becoming malnourished/stunted.
She will become ripe and lay her eggs and your other fish will get a nice treat.
