I have 3 Vittatus from 2 different collection points and I seem to notice differences for sure. I know there have been discussions in the past about 4(?) perhaps different sub sp.of Vittatus. Such a great discussion. Maybe others would share different types/colors of tails? My 2 smaller Vittatus seem to have very red tails but even among those 2 my favorite and top fish in picture seems to have a much redder coloring than his (sister? lol?) who i bought from same place at the same size. My biggest Vittatus, who i bought as a single from a different seller altogether seems to highlight the yellow more. I could be wrong but have always been interested in these discussions in the past. What do you think? I do also have a very dark (black) substrate and they have always been in heavily planted tank. For what its worth these guys still get a batch of rosies every few weeks, tilapia and pellets for a bit of variety? Love to see everyone else's opinions and def pics

They may be from different catch locales
def i agree. the one with the more red tail is a total loner, whereas the other 2 and my goliath hang pretty tight. the solo guy is the most aggressive often swimming 5 feet down the tank to nip atvone of the others only to sprint back to his side of the tank. he's a prickly thing but my fave

They are looking beautiful
