so I really want one of these, and always admired how cool they are and look etc
now seriously considering one, no, I'm 99.9% sure I getting one
but wanted to ask, what are you're experiences with them?
also I have a 6ft tank with currently male sev, texas and gt, 8inch, what would be the situition if I put a butti in there? what size butti do you think would be good if I did add?
also, would them tank mates be OK?
just looking for other own personal experiences on keeping them, and if anyone has kept any with the tank mates that I have , and what happened in that set up?

That's an african not sa/ca.

Very aggressive and that would most likely be disastrous with your current setup. Also would probably need the 125 solo in the long run.

I agree with Pyru Tilapia (now Heterotilapia) buttikoferi, a west African species, would work temporarily, if you got a smallish one, but soon, in such a small tank, it would probably kill all your other fish, and would end up alone.

They are absolute tanks Nicola, they'd honestly use the Texas and GT as toothpicks; they're IMO a fish best kept solo

but as a baby could butti live with gt texas sev etc and I'd need to take him out before he uses texas and gt as toothpicks
