My wish and want list:

Heaters, pumps, brown bullhead catfish with mottling, Chaca Chaca catfish, an amazonian ambush predator fish that doesn't get too big, 125 gallon or higher for a low price, filters, frogbit and duckweed

I went to my first Aquarium Association meeting a few weeks ago. They had a WTB and a For Sale List prior to the meeting.

This is what I picked up:

A 55 gallon with a hot magnum filter covered in duckweed for $70, Lizard Plants, frogbit and Java Moss for $7, 3 Heaters $20, Submersible pump for $25

A guy was selling fish that I did not have an interest in, so 3 days later, something told me to look at his thread again, so I did. The last comment was made by seller, I have a 125, I hope I can get $100. I immediately claimed the tank. I sent the guy a PM about the tank. He said sold, I have another 125 for sale for $100, if you know anyone that wants it. He sent me pics of the second one, it was great!! I claimed both of them.

A vendor sent me message, telling me the next time I want oddball fish, give them a try. They were local so I asked if they could get the Chaca Chaca fish. They are looking for it now. In the meantime I had sent a message to another vendor that had them last year. They said they would be here the first week in February. If they both can get them that will great too.

I happened to come across my unknown drab looking amazonian ambush predator fish by accident, it was available. The seller is having a 2 for one sale. The fish is so drab, people are not paying attention to them. My great luck!!

I had mentioned to a guy that I could not catch any brown bullhead catfish. He said, I catch them by the baskets. I'll catch you some. He has started catching them for me. Here is the first one:

The GREAT FINALE to all of this.....

A fishkeeper from the Association works at a local museum. THEY ARE GIVING ME 5 MUDSKIPPERS FOR FREE!!!, I get them next week. They look like this:

ALL OF THIS HAPPENED BACK TO BACK IN LESS THAN A MONTH!!

Lucky lol. I wish things fell into place like that for me.

You must have some good karma paying you back. :)

Funny thing, I gave up on finding my 125 or higher tank. I had settled for a 100 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank and it's set up in the middle of the floor. I gave up on the bullheads, because I couldn't catch any catfish and the reservoir was closed for improvements.

I couldn't finding Chaca Chaca and gave up on my other ambush predator from the amazon.I was looking for alternative filters because all my powerheads are very loud and so was my emperor 400 and marineland 350.

All was not great in the fish world before all this started happening...guy that worked for me lost the cover that goes over the impeller on my magnum rendering it absolutely useless, that was for the turtle tank.

My Fluval heater started burning in the gulper tank, the stores were closed, luckily the fish were fine. This was on the night the snow hit. I had to leave the fish and head home, I thought I would be able to come back the next day, I couldn't get back for 8 days due to ice all over the city.

I came back to 3 dead gulpers that I paid the highest for any fish so far.:cry::cry: Their feeder fish were fine though. 20 goldfish were all surviving just fine. I had to feed them to the sunfish and catfish, I couldn't care for all of the goldfish. I let a few live and put them in the goldfish tank.

On second thought it sound like the good karma is now balancing out the bad and maintaining the status quo.
