I've had a hard time with this one. I've seen other posts but none of them very recently.

I'm looking to get a 72" wide by 36" tall tank - MAYBE 48", but I definitely like the look more than a 24", the height adds a lot IMO (I recently had another thread about this).

The problem is I LOVE 3D backgrounds, they look amazing and are well worth the space / money. The two main companies I have found in the United States are:

http://www.aquariumhabitats.com/backgrounds.html

http://www.designsbynature.net/

Specifically I am looking at the ones with a large tree like Amazonas. The problem is none of these come in anything taller than 24". The only solution I have found for using store bought (I'm not artistic...at all...so DIY is not an option) 3D backgrounds in a tall aquariums is using the thinner / plainer ones and just stacking panels vertically. This would be a decent solution, but don't look half as cool as the thicker more 3D ones.

Has anyone found a company (or have a good solution) for something like aquarium habitats "amazonas" in a 36 or 48" tall?

Wow awesome, both of those are great options and neither showed up on Google (probably because they don't strongly advertise the "aquarium" part). I was hoping for something with a tree but I do really like the Texas Wall and then would just need to find the right drift wood.

Thanks!

Contact designs by nature via telephone. Ask for Jeff. My 3d BG is from dbn for my 28 in tall SA cichlid planted tank. There's BG available that aren't on the website yet. Here's my 110 and I'm about to setup a new 125. Since my tank is close to the wall, I put the BG on one side of the tank too. Hope this helps.

I've actually been in talks with one of the guys at DBN. This is one that is over 30" tall http://www.designsbynature.net/products-page/slimline-bgs/bj32wa-mesa/ they have two more but they are pushing $400

UniversalRocks now has flat rocky background sheets in 20' x 4', 10' x 4' and 5' x 4' sheets. These are very flexible and come rolled up. The sheets are a polyurea material with crushed rock embedded in the polyurea.

I'm sure they can customize an order. They fabricated a 15' x 4' background for me a few years ago before they carried these larger sheets in stock.

They did the background, flooring, rocks, trees for Albertan's tank. I'm sure they could make you a tree.
