Are there any tall grass like plants that will live in low light? I added some Val's yesterday, not sure how they are going to do. Not to mention they keep floating up.

those plants actually streatch about 12 inches across the surfave of my tank as well. Would have a lot mor but my dempsey got realy upset with me when My city water system had issues and I couldnt do changes for like 3 weeks so I fed less to protect the tank. His response was decimateing like 9 plants....

Onion plants and green tiger lotus.

What type of lighting do you have? That's pretty much what I'm going for if they grow.

Any particular species? It seems there are a good bit that stay lower. Out of about 10 Val's only 2 are still stuck in the sand. I've also gave onion plants a thought but keep finding different lighting requirements.

my lights are basic t8 bulbs from a fish store in basic fixtures(they do get a long light time bout 12 hours a day ). I use the littel fertalizer tabs once a month for them tho.

Dwarf sagittaria grows tall under low light, plus the stuff grows like a weed.

All of my Val's melted, I believe I have one plant left. I moved it to another tank a I think its doing ok. I may try another plant type to see if I can keep anything alive.
