Ok so i have a fairly aggressive 150g tank at the moment the current stock is as follows:-
1 Female Flowerhorn, 1 Male RD/Midas, Breeding pair Convicts, Breeding pair of Jags with around 150 fry:WHOA:, 1 Male Salvini and an Oscar.
The RD/Midas owns the tank followed by the jags, Oscar then its a toss up between the FH, Salvini and the Convicts.
The tank is always a hive of activity with constant fighting over pecking order nothing bad comes from this fighting except for a few split fins that heal up within a couple of weeks. Just lately i have the urge to change the tank around and go for a more peaceful setup. I have recently got a pair of red spotted Severums that i'm growing out in another tank. I would appreciate your thoughts on weather to stick with the aggression or go with a more peaceful tank based around the Severums. Also if i decide to go with a peaceful setup what would be some good tank mates for the Sev's doesn't need to be all cichlids.

Steve.

stay with the aggro.

when you've had aggro and constant movement anything else will become boring.. unless maybe "bderik" black arowana + discus setup.. all your cichlids are most likely pretty AND have tons of personality.. don't change unless the aggression takes the relaxation from the tank.. JIMO

i would stay agressive.. ive switched back a few times and everytime i switch to a more peacefull tank i am kicking myself over it.

you cant beat the ativity and the personality you get out of an agressive tank..

If its working stay with it, my Jags even at 7inches when breeding will kill hound and stress out all there tankmates, thats in my 120G, your Jags are bigger than mine are good going.

Looks like i'll be sticking with it.

Steve

if its working then leave it i say, it could end in death still though thats pretty wwell stocked.
