Tampa Florida Where to go fishing????

Hi I am hear in Tampa visiting my Mom and I wanted to know where to go fishing. Maybe somebody from here can give me some ideas or possibly schedule something where we can go together. I wanted to take my son along so I can teach him how to fish. I will be here for 2 more weeks.

punta gorda is def not 3 miles from tampa lol
skyway peir if you don't have access to a boat just make shure the tide is going out NOT coming back in !!! the shark in my avatar was caught there last year
